This is a very special instrument and I sincerely hope you feel all of the heart and soul that went into its development as soon as you plug it in.
Lamb of God guitarist Mark Morton stood at the forefront of a new breed of metal (and Jackson) artists in the mid-2000s, with an aggressive style that combined dazzling speed, sharply precise riffing, searing intensity and distinctive tight chording. When he collaborated with Jackson on a signature model, he wanted a special instrument design that bore his own special design stamp.
Morton worked closely with Jackson on his signature model, creating it the original Jackson way — with pencil, paper and imagination. He chose a body style that was in essence a slightly modified version of the Swee-Tone™ Jazz’r™, a non-pointy and hence decidedly atypical Jackson model from the late 1990s. Morton’s design rendered the Jazz’r’s shallow double cutaways, rounded horns and slightly offset waist in a new chambered-mahogany model with an elegant flame maple top. Further loaded with a wealth of high-performance neck, pickups, electronics and hardware features, Morton’s signature model was dubbed the Dominion and released to great acclaim in 2006.
In 2016, Jackson celebrates the 10th anniversary of Morton’s esteemed and versatile signature guitar with the USA Signature Limited Edition Mark Morton 10th Anniversary Dominion. Available in Violin Brown, this model comes in a custom G&G case with embroidered Lamb of God and Jackson logos, along with special case candy items such as a certificate autographed by Morton, a personal letter from Morton, Levy guitar strap, custom Mark Morton Dunlop strings and much more!
