With a sound as big as the original daikajiu, Godzilla, French metal act Gojira blends thrash and progressive elements to create a groove metal sound like no other. Jackson teamed up with their acclaimed guitarist, Christian Andreu, to create his signature Rhoads RRXT—a massive value that has all the Jackson DNA you’ve come to know and love. Stylishly sleek and packed with the sound of thunder, this beast is ready to roar.
Andreu’s demanding playing requires tone and sustain that can shake the foundations of the earth to their very core, and his Rhoads RRXT uses a neck-through-body design for increased vibration transfer, resulting in sustain for the ages. A single Seymour Duncan® HB-102B humbucking bridge pickup powered by an alnico 5 magnet is all that’s required for razor-sharp high-output tones with a hint of warmth for flavor. 22 frets top the ultra-fast 12"-16" compound radius fingerboard, creating the ideal playing surface for fat riffs and easy chording near the black plastic nut while gradually flattening in the upper registers for lightning-fast solos and wide bends without worrying about fretting out. Jackson sealed die-cast machines and adjustable compensated strings-thru-body bridge create colossal tuning stability and accurate intonation along the entire length of the neck. Graphite reinforcement rods help ensure the neck stays straight when exposed to the havoc of varying humidity and temperature.
This sleek instrument is tricked out with all-black hardware, including the domed control knobs, and a Jackson 6-In-Line headstock for classically sophisticated metal aesthetics. Engineered for sterling playability, crossed with Jackson’s renowned style, the X Series Signature Christian Andreu Rhoads RRXT cranks out mile-wide riffs and leads as fiery as its namesake.
Jackson X series models feature a selection of EMG® and Duncan Designed™ humbucking pickups for unparalleled tonal versatility from clean to heavily distorted. All tremolo-equipped models feature Floyd Rose® Special bridges.
True neck-through-body construction has been a Jackson hallmark since 1980. For greater playability and sustain, X Series models feature a neck-through design usually reserved for much more expensive instruments. Further, graphite support rods flanking the truss rod provide even more neck stability to help the instrument withstand the rigors of the road.
X Series models feature compound-radius fingerboards. Jackson pioneered the use of this innovative design, in which the fingerboard gradually flattens toward the heel from its more rounded profile at the nut. This makes for comfortable and natural-feeling chording and riffing near the nut, with optimal shred articulation and bending nearer the heel.
The X Series presents a wealth of distinctive Jackson stylistic options from the subdued to the striking. Sharkfin or “piranha” fingerboard inlays. The traditional Jackson six-in-line headstock or an AT headstock with tuners on either side. Deep solid colors or beautifully figured tops. The X Series has something for everyone.
