Pat O'Brien / Cannibal Corpse

Many words come to mind when you hear the name Cannibal Corpse, but one truly defines the soon-to-be thirty-year death metal veterans: Unstoppable. With 14th full-length album, Red Before Black, due out Nov. 3, 2017, this five-piece continues to set the standard when it comes to delivering compelling music that is equally brutal and complex.

Lead guitarist Pat O'Brien auditioned for Cannibal Corpse in 1997, and made his first album appearance with 1998’s Gallery of Suicide.

Fun Facts:
O’Brien was 11-years-old when he got his first guitar for Christmas.

Formally trained, O’Brien studied classical guitar, an interest that began after attending an Andres Segovia concert with his father.

O’Brien also gave guitar lessons at Maschintos Music store in Southgate, Kentucky.
Guest Appearances:
O'Brien collaborated on Leather’s 1989 solo debut album Shock Waves, and also played lead guitar on bonus track "Balancing Act" on the 1997 re-issue of Lethal's Your Favorite God EP as well as "Render My Prey" on Spawn of Possession’s 2006 album Noctambulant. In 2008, he played guitar on “Race Against Disaster” on Jeff Loomis’ debut solo album Zero Order Phase and made a guest solo appearance on Kataklysm album Prevail.
